The one-day educational event will feature experts in cybersecurity focusing presentations on cyber threats, the steps that need to be taken to secure industrial control systems and assess vulnerabilities, cybersecurity challenges, best practices, standards and more. It will attract those employees in the manufacturing sector tasked with securing industrial control systems and protecting the plant floor from cyber threats — e.g., IT managers, network administrators, chief security officers, plant managers, c-suite executives, etc. The event will also provide several networking opportunities for attendees to exchange ideas.

“The impact of a cyber attack on manufacturing operations is significant, and can lead to unplanned downtime, unauthorized use of systems, loss of proprietary information, financial loss and worse,” says Mary Del Ciancio, editor of Manufacturing AUTOMATION magazine. “We decided to host an event on this topic based on trends we were seeing in the industry. More and more companies are realizing that they’re not immune to cyber attacks — manufacturers included. This event will arm those responsible for securing industrial control systems with the information they need to protect their plant floors from cyber threats.”
